Transcripta has no server, so report-photo reading and the AI assistant call Anthropic's API directly from your browser using your own key. The key is saved only in this browser's local storage (never in your exported .json/.docx files, never sent anywhere but Anthropic) — get one at console.anthropic.com. Each report read or instruction costs a small amount on your Anthropic account.
Read grades from report card photos
Add a photo for whichever grades and terms you have — skip any you don't. Each grade's Christmas and Summer reports are compared directly when both are present, same as entering grades by hand.

Tell it what to change
Describe changes for the currently selected student, in plain English — e.g. "set Mathematics's grade for grade 9 to 85 and add French as a new subject" or "the student's address is 12 Palm Ave, Kingston". You can describe several changes at once — it'll show you exactly what it caught before touching anything, and you can uncheck any you don't want.
